GARDEN PLAN
A GARDEN PLAN is a mini or limited version of a landscape design, offered as a stand-alone service. It takes less time, is less comprehensive and lighter on the budget. Start with a basic sketch and some customized information curated to help you understand what’s necessary for your project and to clarify your decision making process. Great for clients who prefer to act as their own project manager by hiring small-business independent contractors for various services or DIY recommendations. If you prefer, it can also be used as the first or CONCEPTUAL DESIGN phase in your landscape design.
Your Garden Plan package includes:
Design Consultation
Private Website Page URL (info accessible in one place)
2D Color Layout (digital sketch) + 1 revision
Shortlist of recommended Plants + Materials
Note that measurements are not to scale, so area or volume estimates are general, and plant or materials may not include specific names or sizes
Pictures, ideas, resource links, comparisons or cost-benefit analysis
Vendor recommendations and service provider referrals
Targeted 3rd party youtube videos for how-to and inspiration
“I’m so thrilled! It’s like going from 0 to 100 in just a few days!” — Colene
CONCEPT PHASE
As part of your Landscape Design process, this is an exciting phase. A DESIGN CONCEPT is the first real imagination phase useful to hone desired spatial layout and gestalt references. The focus here is all about laying foundations of form, functionality, and use of space, not so much what it will look like yet. The purpose is to find the optimal relationships between various spaces in the landscape, as well as between the landscape and the existing home or environment, and also between those who use the space and the environment. We may use circles, bubbles, or swaths to indicate areas we are dreaming into being. Think outside the box, follow your hunches, imagine movement, experience, exploration and discovery. We ask which of our inspired concepts solve the identified needs or satisfy your preferences most elegantly, most originally, and most efficiently.
Your Conceptual Design phase includes:
• Site Observations + Analysis
• Listing Goals and focal-points
• Sketches, doodles, or basic reference drawings
• Digital mock up of ideas
• Considering use of space, and new ideas
• Accounting for microclimate, elements, neighborhood or natural influences
• Listing challenges and possible solutions
• Dreaming new spaces into being
DEVELOPMENT
HONE YOUR CONCEPT: This phase provides you with iterations or revisions of your design for a fuller and more detailed development of your desired direction from the initial concept. Reference pictures for plants, materials, custom features, or additional research are also explored. We provide a recommended plant list with botanical names and reference pictures, as well as suggested materials if applicable. Specific elements and select layers highlight different relevant features including: structures, utilities, soft/hardscape, irrigation, lighting, permaculture principles, usage, etc.
“We were able to confirm our preferences every step of the way and the yard now looks stunning thanks to the plan.” — Adam & Miriam
CONSTRUCTION PACK
If your project requires detailed plans, we provide a Construction Pack which includes a compilation of relevant documents suitable for use (for example, alongside architectural building plans, or structural engineering guidance) to be read and used by all involved. These documents are delivered digitally or printed by request. To meet code requirements often set by city or county, we work seamlessly alongside an independent Landscape Architect or Structural Engineer who will confirm required specs for builders, contractors, and client and in some cases to provide a clear and finalized materials list and precise measurements, as a detailed blueprint for installation.

What Powers Our Process?
rEV DESIGN™ = rEVOLUTIONARY ENVIRONMENTAL VALUES
At Rebecca’s Gardens we proudly partner with Integral Active Media (iAM), a small Boulder design group, to offer you rEV Design™ a revolutionary values-based approach to earth guardianship.
To be an earth guardian is to recognize that all life is connected and to be interested in those connections, the components, players, and systems all very multi-dimensional and real. It means to be motivated to live and to act from a place of mindful compassionate responsiveness and care toward all living things, including the health and well being of our environments, natural elements, animals, humans, and self.
To design in this regard means to embrace nature’s patterns or best interests in harmony with humanity’s. This can be demonstrated through study, understanding, learning, and practice in many approaches, for example regenerative local landscapes, permaculture projects, ecological planning, geomancy, biodynamic agriculture, even understanding the electrical magnetism of earth’s lay lines and how subtle energy fields are generated and harnessed by sunlight and natural elements in motion. To engage rEV Design, is to engage values that can change our perspective, our worldview, and when we activate change within ourselves, in so doing the world around us changes.
Using a breakthrough method of integrative design and systemic vision, rEvolutionary design is taking bold new steps to equip homeowners, land owners, and leaders in our communities with the education and tools necessary to make uplifting choices which will create a ripple effect in support of implementing greener solutions for all levels of daily life in this time of global transformation.
Rebecca is an experienced rEV Designer™, leading projects herself or with independent assistance. She and her colleagues specialize in custom projects for environmentally conscious businesses such as landscape and garden design and cutting edge initiatives to increase earth awareness and education.

Who Are Our rEvolutionary Designers?
Representing a purpose-driven collective, rEvolutionary Designers™ are intentionally committed to becoming new leaders demonstrating progressive ecological and social change. rEV Design™ is embraced by those who seek to evolve themselves and to redefine their core mission or approach to life, community, and work as a way to come into harmony with the ecology of the planet with its diverse elements and inhabitants. An essential part of this new approach offers steps to integrate interior awareness and culture with the result of finding a greater balance within and recognizing how that is intricately supportive of and connected to the world outside. In this way, aligned intentions that ring true from deep in our core can become a lighthouse of regenerative empowerment around us. As Nicola Tesla recognized that, “if you want to find the secrets of the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency, and vibration,” rEv Design™ acknowledges that our emotional alignment and heart passions, when holistically directed, can exponentially boost the structure of our authentic green initiatives, for effective collaborative and global rEvolution. rEV Design™ has gained niche popularity in Boulder, Colorado, from which founder Rebecca currently works.
